Filling abandoned pipes and the annular space between a trenchless pipe and its corresponding carrier is common practice in underground construction. Sand/cement grout, thermal grout, cellular grout and flowable fill are all useful fill materials depending on practical application and customer demand. There are an infinite number of mix designs. A successful grout installation requires an understanding of the mix and the pump needed to move the grout efficiently.
