Project Details
A box culvert installation under the Pennsylvania Turnpike required directional drilling for soil stabilization, pilot tube microtunneling for guide casing installation, and tunnel methods for box culvert installation. Auger boring methods were used to install steel casings for RCP crossings. A 1:3 grout was used for filling voids outside of the box culvert and as annular fill between the casings and their corresponding carrier pipes.
