Location
Gwynn Oak, MD
Project Details
The project involved eight trenchless crossings totaling 896 linear feet, installed using various auger boring techniques. Aaron was responsible for the excavation and shoring of both launch and exit pits, which included substantial rock removal. At times, rock hardness exceeded 25,000 PSI, presenting significant excavation challenges.
To navigate these conditions, a combination of trenchless methods was employed, including the use of Robbins Small Boring Units (SBUs), guided pilot systems, standard auger boring, and pipe ramming. The project name itself was a fitting reflection of the difficult and varied subsurface conditions encountered throughout execution.
