Project Details
AEI successfully completed two precision jack and bore crossings under active New Jersey Transit and Amtrak rail lines, each 332 LF of 36″ casing. Crossing #1 included (10) 6″ and (5) 4″ PVC conduits, while Crossing #2 featured (14) 5″ and (2) 2″ PVC conduits, with thermal grout used to fill the void between the steel casing and the carrier conduits. Partnering with Waters and Bugbee, who handled excavation, shoring, and dewatering in challenging rock conditions down to 20 feet, the project maintained 24/7 operations. Both bores hit their line and grade targets with exceptional accuracy. The teamwork and precision execution made this high-profile project a major success.
